Given how spotty my posting has been lately (curse you, real life!), it may not make much of a difference, but in the next 3 weeks I need to find a new place to live, and move. This means my leisure activities (including drawing and writing) will be put on the backburner until my housing situation is resolved.
I'll get back to it though, don't you worry

Going to SLC Comic-Con!
If any of you are in the Salt Lake City area for the coming April Comic-con "Fan X", I'll be in a booth in Artist Alley, selling my invention - the Caption-ator! A word (or thought) balloon that can be safely attached to almost any display figure!
Read up on it at www.caption-ator.com
You can buy them from me direct at the con, or order through the web page at the BUY SOME link!

See you at the Con!
Devious Journal Entry
2013 is winding to a close!
My posting has been spotty lately due to employment issues and job seeking - but hopefully that's winding down. I hope to post more this year. In the meantime, enjoy New Years' Eve and responsibly drink only non-alcoholic beverages!
Behold - the Caption-ator!
My invention has a name now - the Caption-ator!
Check out the website at www.caption-ator.com and read all about it!
I've given a few samples away so people can test it out. So far there seems to be a learning curve of sorts. Most people are trying to suspend the word balloon shape in mid-air above the figure, but the putty tends to droop when that's done, especially in warmer temperatures.
For best performance, shape the support wire so that the balloon shape comes to 'rest' on the surface of the figure/statue/trophy to which it is attached via the holding putty.... Read the FAQ on the webpage for in-depth instructions!
Need help naming an invention:
I've been a bit slow on my art lately because I've been working on getting patent pending status on an idea for an invention I came up with back around 2007. I've gotten to the point where I'm gearing up to start offering them for sale over the internet in a small way.
It's a neat little widget than can be attached safely to any display figure or action figure. They're word balloon and thought balloon shapes that come with peel-off stickers so people can make their collectibles look like they're 'talking' or 'thinking'.
Check out my gallery for some pics of the item in action!
Thing is, I'm not sure exactly what to name it. I've come up

Good luck, man. Here's hoping the new digs are as nice as (or nicer than ) the old ones.
